Founder of Promises Treatment Centers
In 1989 Richard Rogg opened Promises Treatment Centers in West Los Angeles creating a new model for treatment of addiction from commercial settings to residential surroundings. He recognized the value of a personal treatment plan while incorporating the same principles of AA and the 12 steps in to every patients treatment program. In 1999, Richard and Lisa established the Promises Foundation. In the beginning, the foundation had an educational focus supporting the Strengthening Families program in downtown Los Angeles. In 2007, they opened the doors of Miriam’s House, to provide assistance to mothers and children who live below the poverty line and are at a greater disadvantage of overcoming alcoholism and addiction.
In 2008, Mr. Rogg sold Promises Treatment Centers to Elements Behavioral Health. After a few years of retirement he started a new business with his son, Jesse Rogg, buying the Mack Sennett Studios in Silverlake, California. After refurbishing one of the first silent sound stages in Hollywood, the Rogg team now has one of the busiest sound stages for commercials, music videos and events in Southern California.
